I get frequent emails from my newsletter readers wondering why their eBay auctions aren't working. You might have the most brilliant auction description page with a fantastic set of pictures offering a superb item at an incredible price. But the page counter shows after seven days of your auction that it’s only been seen by 3 people. Has that happened to any of your auctions? If it has, I always start at the same point. The auction title. In 99% of cases, the reason for low viewing figures is that your auction title isn't smart enough. Here are a few facts. At the end of this small list you’ll understand the secret power of eBay auction titles: a) 79 million times each day buyers use eBay's search box to locate items in which they are interested. b) eBay's standard search system takes the search words keyed in, and compares them with the titles in its database of 10 million auctions. (Note it doesn’t compare them with sub-titles, or auction descriptions) c) If an auction title doesn't contain the words keyed into the search box, the auction won’t get returned in the search list. And that’s another of the 79 million searches you’ve missed out on! d) If an auction isn't returned in a search list, it can’t be clicked on to have the auction description viewed. So, the whole of eBay's default search system relies on matching keywords with auction titles. And that’s the secret power of auction titles. If your title contains words which the buyer searches upon, your auction will be returned time and again in search return lists. Actually, that’s not quite everything. Let’s say you want to create a new auction. Your auction title has three functions: 1) To contain keywords. (Number one on this list for the reason you now know!) 2) To persuade buyers to click through to your auction description page 3) To convey what the item is To decide on the keywords to use, you have to think like a buyer. What words would be used by a person interested in searching for an item like yours? At this stage, just list them. Don't put the words into a sentence yet. Spend as long as you like on this exercise. The more effective you are with this, the less likely you are to have one of those sleepy auctions that rarely get a visitor. Having listed as many keywords as you can think of, you have to decide which are the strongest. Remember, you only have 55 precious characters for your auction title. Taking your best keywords, you now create your auction title. It's not an English exam, so it doesn't matter if it doesn't scan like a sentence. You can add a power word or two if you've space. By this I mean words like stunning, limited edition, unique, rare, new, one-off, exclusive, distinctive, dramatic etc. These are words which can influence buyers to click through to your auction description. They won’t be searched on by buyers, so use them sparingly. For the same reason, I don’t advocate the use of "clever" words like l@@k or w0w! Finally, do the words in your title convey what the item is? If so, that's it. You've created a powerful and compelling auction title. And your title will appear more often in search return lists. And, as you know, that’s the key! If you can get your auction to appear more frequently in search return lists, more buyers will view your auction description page. The more people that visit your auction description page, the more likely you are to make a sale at an acceptable price. Now you know the secret power, why not create a new title today for one of your auctions? If you do, believe me you’ll get your fair share of the 79 million eBay daily searchers.

High paying keyword yang biasa disebut HPK atau kata kunci dengan nilai pembayaran perkliknya tinggi, banyak dicari-cari oleh publisher adsense. Sedangkan untuk menentukan HPK bisa dibilang gampang-gampang susah. Banyak faktor yang untuk bisa menentukannya. Memang banyak yang menulis tentang HPK, dengan ratusan kata kunci. Entah benar apa tidak, saya sendiri belum pernah mencobanya. Dan apakah itu hanya teknik SEO untuk mengelabuhi pengunjung, atau memang benar-benar sebagai HPK. Saya menggunakan eksperimen kecil-kecilan, walaupun belum 100 persen terbukti, tetapi sedikit bisa menaikkan nilai perkliknya.

Yang saya lakukan adalah menulis intinya, dan mengulang-ngulang kata kunci yang kita bidik. Cara ini harus dikolaborasikan dengan filter Ad serta Ad targeting. Hanya untuk saat ini saya belum menggunakan ad targeting, karena tanpa menggunakannya, iklan yang muncul kebanyakan sudah sesuai dengan content. Disamping itu, untuk blog yang mempunyai niche tertentu, yang isinya tidak campur aduk, ad targeting menurut saya malah mengurangi iklan yang seharusnya muncul, sedangkan itu bisa dibilang termasuk dari HPK.

Sebagai contoh, blog saya yang tentang Latest Tech News, disana saya membuat banyak kategori, tujuannya jelas untuk dijadikan keyword, Tidak hanya sekedar mempermudah pengunjung dalam mencari informasi, tetapi juga bermanfaat untuk dijadikan SEO.

Untuk bereksperimen dalam menentukan HPK kita juga harus membuat chanel dalam setiap iklan adsense kita. Supaya dapat mempermudah dalam menentukan kategori atau kata kunci yang kita bidik. Dari hasil eksperimen tersebut, kata kunci affiliate, bisnis, make money online, business online, termasuk dalam kategori low paying keyword (CMIIW). Untuk kata kunci tentang elektronik seperti ipod, laptop, lcd tv, bisa dikategorikan lumayan tinggi, sekitar $0.30 perklik. Ada yang mau nambahin?

High paying keyword ?

Bagi anda para pemula di adsense, jika telah mengikuti langkah-langkah yang disebutkan dalam tiga artikel saya sebelumnya (adsense, niche, dan adwords), berarti sekarang anda sudah punya sebuah web atau blog yang sudah ditempelin iklan adsense. Ibarat jualan toko sudah jadi, sekarang tinggal mencari pembeli, atau traffic situs anda. Ada banyak cara untuk meningkatkan traffic, seperti dari search engine, forum, komunitas, mailing list, ezine publishing, pay per click advertising dan lain-lain. Namun sebelum mempromosikan situs anda, ada baiknya dilihat lagi tema atau niche situs anda, apakah kata kunci di situs termasuk kata kunci yang dibayar tinggi atau high paying keywords (HPK) atau tidak, agar aktivitas promosi anda tidak sia-sia dan bisa menghasilkan income yang berarti.

Catatan : Tulisan ini dalam konteks jika tipe situs anda adalah tipe marketer yang menyediakan informasi yang dibutuhkan sesuai dengan tuntutan market, bukan berdasarkan pada hobi atau keahlian anda.

High Paying Keywords (HPK) adalah kata-kata kunci yang mempunyai nilai pay per click (PPC) yang tinggi, tentu setiap adsenser ingin iklan yang muncul di situsnya mempunyai nilai PPC yang tinggi, bagaimana cara agar iklan HPK ini muncul, ya tentu saja dengan membuat situs dengan tema / niche High Paying Keyword. Berapa sih nilai keyword yang bisa disebut HPK? Itu sih relative, tapi menurut saya keyword dengan nilai PPC lebih besar dari 10 dolar per klik sudah termasuk HPK.

Untuk ilustrasi lebih jauh, contohnya sebagai berikut : Misalkan anda mempunyai dua buah situs, misalkan situs pertama dengan topic A yang mempunyai nilai PPC rata-rata 1 dolar per klik, sedangkan situs kedua dengan topic B mempunyai nilai PPC yang termasuk HPK dengan nilai 12 dolar per klik. Untuk mempromosikan situs , usaha yang anda keluarkan sama (kalaupun beda pasti tidak terlalu jauh), dan diakhir bulan hasil klik yang anda dapatkan kutang lebih sama, misalkan 100 klik untuk kedua situs. Berapa pendapatan masing-masing situs ? situs pertama dengan topic A dapat 1 dolar dikali 100, sama dengan 100 dolar, situs kedua dengan topic B yang
bernilai HPK dapat 12 dolar kali 100, sama dengan 1200 dolar, jauh sekali kan bedanya?. Bisa diibaratkan seperti manajer di Indonesia dan Amerika yang bekerja di sebuah perusahaan sama, mempunyai posisi dan pekerjaan yang sama, kemampuan sama, tapi gajinya beda, karena yang di Amerika mempunyai nilai High Paying Keywords J….

Pertanyaan selanjutnya, bagaimana menemukan high paying keywords? Ini memang susah-susah gampang, untuk mengetahuinya anda perlu melakukan trial di Google Adwords ( lihat artikel adwords sebelumnya untuk mengetahui cara membuat account), masukkan satu keyword dan cek berapa PPC-nya., dari pengalaman, kata-kata yang termasuk HPK adalah keyword di bidang keuangan seperti insurance, loan dan frasa-frasanya ( auto insurance, home loan, etc, silahkan dikembangkan lagi dengan tools di adwords), atau yang berhubungan dengan internet sendiri, seperti domain name, server hosting, pay per click, search engine marketing dan sejenisnya.

OK, sekarang jika anda sudah menemukan keyword yang bernilai HPK, sebelum mengimplementasikannya, ada satu test atau pengecekan lagi yang perlu dilakukan, yaitu apakah iklan yang ditampilkan relevan dengan HPK yang anda bidik?. Ini sanagt perlu, karena meskipun situs anda mempunyatema yang sesuai dengan HPK, tetapi iklan yang kelaur tidak relevan dengan HPK, ya sama saja sia-sia. Sebagai contoh coba bandingkan dua website berikut http://ppcsem.blogspot.com/ dan http://insurance-guide.blogspot.com/ . Kedua situs tersebut mempunyai High Paying Keywords, yang pertama situs dengan topic pay per click dan search engine marketing, yang kedua tentang insurance. Coba perhatikan iklan yang keluar dari situs diatas. Yang pertama , iklan Ads by Google yang ditampilkan sejalan atau relevan dengan isi website , artinya isi situs berhasil mencapai target, sedangkan yang kedua kurang sejalan atau ada yang tidak relevan, , padahal umur situs http://ppcsem.blogspot.com/ lebih pendek dari http://insurance-guide.blogspot.com/ ,dan artikelnya lebih sedikit, kenapa situs yang kedua tidak menghasilkan iklan yang relevan? Karena keywords insurance meskipun termasuk HPK, dia tidak bernilai global, maksudnya para pengiklan insurance hanya mau iklannya muncul di Negara tertentu saja, misalkan amerika atau eropa, tidak di seluruh dunia, karena kebutuhan untuk produk insurance belum merata secara global. Sedangkan untuk keyword pay per click, merupakan HPK yang bernilai global, dan targetnya bisa berlaku di seluruh dunia.

Jadi, kesimpulannya, jika situs anda bertipe marketer penyedia informasi, pilihlah topic yang mempunyai High Paying Keyword, setelah mendapatkan HPK, lakukan tes dan seleksi, pilih HPK yang bernilai global, sehingga iklan yang keluar di situs anda juga bernilai tinggi.

Google Adsense, program affiliasi untuk bisnis internet yang sangat popular di dunia online saat ini. Semua orang bisa berpartisipasi menjadi pengiklan bagi google dengan syarat mudah dan cepat, cukup dengan menempatkan iklan-iklan google di situs mereka. Lumayan kan, jauh lebih tinggi dari gaji fresh graduate. Seandainya punya 10 situs serupa, hitung aja sendiri penghasilannya. Di Indonesia sendiri, sudah ada beberapa orang yang meraih komisi diatas 10.000 dolar per bulan, yang dapat ribuan dolar sudah banyak, apalagi yang cuma ratusan.

Di Amerika sendiri, banyak yang sudah mendapat ratusan ribu bahkan jutaan dolar, seperti situs plentyoffish. com ( perjodohan) atau digg.com ( berita) atau ezinearticles. com, hebatnya rata-rata situs mereka bukan lahir dari perusahaan-perusahaan besar silicon valley ( seperti yahoo, google, etc), tapi dari rumahan, ya dari rumah dengan modal PC yang terkoneksi ke internet.Ibarat jualan, toko sudah jadi, isi toko sudah ada, sekarang apa?… yah tinggal cari pembeli, ini tahap yang agak berat dan butuh waktu. Percuma kita punya toko tanpa ada yang beli. Yang disebut pembeli yaitu pengunjung situs kita, atau di dunia online umum disebut sebagai traffic. Semakin banyak traffic situs kita, berarti semakin tinggi kemungkinan iklan di klik dan semakin banyak komisi yang kita terima.

Apakah salah itu gagal?

Zaman terus berpacu dengan waktu,setiap detik berjalan,selalu bertambah ,pasti tidak pernah kembali.Dunia berputar dari timur ke barat.

When people visit your website, they don’t always view just one page. They also get from their entry page to another page that they might find interesting. They find this page by links that are provided to them on their page of entry. How you help people to get around on your site is what is meant by ‘Site Navigation’.

A typical website has a menu on each page; a menu that gets them from one section to another on your site. What decides them to click on a link to another section is the words used to indicate the link. ‘Free Resources’ or ‘Download ebooks’ might get their attention.

In respect to your Adsense earnings, you should track your site navigation to drive people to your high paying pages. I have some pages that get a lot of traffic from search engines, but the earnings on these pages are very low. So I use some clever navigation on these pages to lure people to some higher earning pages. By using this technique you can turn some cheap clicks into dollars.
First of all, you must have something to track, something to compare. Second, you must select some high earning pages you want to funnel your traffic to.

To get the fastest results, you should select some of your highly visited pages.

Then you have to think about what might convince people on a particular page to move to a high earning page. Try to find some description that would get their attention. Next step is to think about a suited location to place the link on the webpage.

Within the article itself, on the bottom as recommended resources, just above the main menu… Get creative and, especially, look around at other site to see how they do it (e.g. Hot Pages list, or Most read articles are very common).

You don’t have to stick with plain text links. You can also use some graphic to get peoples attention. Look around, and get ideas.

As with the testing of Adsense ads, try different texts on different pages, so you can get a feeling of what works and what not. Mix and match, put links on top, put them on the bottom.

And after that, it’s just testing, tracking, testing and tracking again.

Your time is valuable and a broadband connection can allow you to get more done in a given time frame.
3. Schedule Develop a schedule that works for you, your family (or "significant others") and your business. When you allot a block of time for work then use that time for work. Equally important is to schedule time for your other commitments - family time, self education (reading, listening and viewing), "health time" (exercise, cooking and eating), and leisure time. During these other times don't work. After all if one of the reasons to work from home is to spend more time with your family then you don't want your working at home time to consume your family time. You are working for yourself and your schedule (by your choice) is your "boss". When you have people calling you or dropping around unexpectedly or maybe out-of-town visitors may want to catch up with you then you need to make a choice. Are you committed to your own business success? What will be your choice in these situations? Only you can decide what is important to you. In a family environment you may need to negotiate with your partner and children to have your business time agreed upon, during which you will not be interrupted. Put this schedule prominently somewhere so all family members are aware of your work schedule.
4. Describe Your Business Be able to describe your business concisely; a powerful one or two sentence description that someone can repeat in describing your business to others. A unique and memorable tag line can also be invaluable for promoting your business.
5. Know you’re Product or Service Once you have selected your product or service to sell, it may or may not be something that you use yourself but you need to know your product intimately. If you are selling e-books then know the content and its value. If you are selling software then use it knows it "inside out". You will develop a reputation of providing quality information and because of your product knowledge you can become the preferred supplier. It is not practical to use certain products (for example a woman may choose to sell man's shoes or vice versa) in which case the seller won't be a product user, however the seller can still know the benefits and features of the product intimately.
6. Administration Use good record keeping practices. This may involve a consultation with a tax advisor who can let you know about the optimal way to set up your financial records and what records need to be kept. Your advisor will also recommend record keeping systems and you can find out what software may simplify this aspect of your business. Additionally your obtain advice on the best arrangement for your bank accounts. You will most likely be advised to have a separate bank account. You will also need to keep track of your various logins, usernames and passwords.
